Photography as a Business Tool for Creativity

Photography

I’ve used photography to enhance creative skills by developing the ability to see more than the obvious.

Composition in photography (how the elements are arranged) is everything. Get the composition wrong and you have a mediocre picture and no story. Get it right and you draw your audience into the elements which invites them into an experience.

In business composition is referred to as storytelling. Storytelling is an art form which offers a different view of the numbers by identifying correlations and using those relationships to influence future decisions.

Photography is a great tool to help an Executive develop the ability to see beyond the obvious and to see things differently from everyone else.

Here is how it works:

Simply set a small range like a backyard or a park and go and 'CREATE' a picture that others would likely not have identified.

As examples, below are a few of my favorite photos which I’ve taken over the years. My hope is that you not only enjoy the photos but they draw you into an experience as well.
